OER Standing Committee Members
Committee Member Summary:
The OER Standing Committee Members actively participate in the development, review, and enhancement of Open Educational Resources (OER) initiatives at SFCC. The members of this committee meet monthly to oversee the application and grant process, advise on strategic initiatives, support the OER culture change at SFCC, and support the broader educational goals of the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Meetings: Attend monthly meetings to discuss ongoing projects, address challenges, and plan future actions.
- Review Applications: Agree upon evaluation criteria and evaluate grant applications to distribute funds to faculty for OER projects.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in supporting the strategic plan for OER initiatives.
- Reporting: Periodically provide updates on OER progress to Executive Team and to other committees and departments as needed.
- Training and Support: Participate in providing training for the OER grant application process and support faculty through the transition to OER materials.
- Mentorship Program: Aid in creating a process for selecting OER Faculty Mentors and support their activities throughout the academic year.

Monitoring and Reporting: Assist in tracking the impact of OER on courses, sections, enrollment, and student outcomes, and make necessary adjustments based on data analysis.

Time commitment: 2-3 hours a month
