Artstor is a nonprofit resource that provides millions of high-resolution, downloadable images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and sciences with an accessible suite of software tools for teaching and research. The community-built collections include contributions from outstanding international museums, private collections, photographers, libraries, scholars, photo archives, and artists and artists' estates.

Important Things to Note

  • You must access Artstor through the SFCC Library website - NOT by going to Artstor.org.
This is called "institutional access." Think of it as using a special, private door to access a building, rather than the main public entrance.
  • Although not required, we highly recommend registering for a free Artstor account, as it greatly enhances your Artstor experience.
  • Your MySFCC login credentials and your Artstor account are two different things.
Your MySFCC login credentials allow you to access Artstor from off-campus. (In other words, it gets you in that "special, private door.") Your Artstor account enhances your experience with Artstor, once you're inside.
  • If you already have an Artstor account but can't seem to login, your account may have expired. But it's easy to fix!
Remote access to your account expires after 120 days of inactivity. For help restoring your account, click here
