Faculty Help: Linking/Embedding Library Resources: Linking eBook Content

Help for embedding permalinks and video content into your Canvas course shells.

Embedding Permalinks to eBook Content

To link directly to an eBook from the library's eBooks from EBSCO Collection database:

  1. Once you have found the eBook you want, click the PDF Full Text link.
  2. If you wish to provide the permalink to the entire work, click the permalink icon found along the top of the screen. It should look like this:
    undefined

  3. If you wish to provide the permalink to a chapter, select the desired chapter from the Table of Contents that appears to the left. Then click the permalink icon found along the top of the screen.
  4. A box will open up displaying the permalink. Copy the URL.
  5. Paste the URL in your Canvas course shell, just as you would any other link. (ie. in a Discussion, or Assignment, etc.)
Helpful Tip: Include a reminder to students that from off-campus, they will be prompted to log in with their MySFCC credentials.
