Family Study Room Policy

Family Study Room Policy

  • The family study room is available to current SFCC students when their children are with them.
    • This room is not a child-care service.  Do not leave your children unattended.  Children must be accompanied and supervised by parents/guardians at all times, including monitoring children’s safety and behavior.
    • Library staff are not responsible for children.  If a child is left unaccompanied, SFCC Security will be called.
  • Users must check in at the SFCC Library circulation desk prior to using the space.
  • The door to the room must remain open while it is occupied.
  • Please respect all items in the room as well as other occupants.  The room should be left clean and orderly after use.
  • We do not expect the room to be quiet, but please be aware the room is not soundproof.
  • Please do not leave any personal items in the room.  Personal items left in the room will be given to SFCC security.
  • Library resources are not censored.  Caregivers are responsible for monitoring what their children access, using online and print materials.
  • Children’s books in the study room are available for checkout by SFCC students.  Books may be taken to the Library’s circulation desk for checkout.
  • Failure to follow room use policies may result in loss of room privileges.
